This article and website exist as a broadly available repository of my anonymous writing titled “She Came from Dartmouth”, other current and future writings on Narcissistic Relationship Abuse and for the following three reasons:
- On or around February 1, 1971, Alexander T. Mason, 34 years, a Royal Bank employee in Greater Halifax, was killed by his wife, Winnifred Mason (nee Shaw), known as a mariticide. Due to Post Partum issues, no guilt was found and the two daughters, a baby boy and the mother returned to their house.
- Circa 1992, Sandra Ann Mason, Accountant, youngest daughter of Alex T., moved to Toronto and immediately pursued a marriage partner via the well-understood Narcissistic strategy termed Lovebombing.
- Donald Trump was accidently elected President of the United States.
Any knowledgeable observer of the current state of the human world could only conclude we are in an extended period of global Psychopathic harm caused by curated lies and misinformation exported to billions of screens in an instant.
Putin, Trump, a big maw of the Republican party, maybe Xi, Musk, Right Wingers in Eastern Europe and South America, and a lot of very comfortable Americans seem to subscribe to the Dark Triad of Psychology:
- Narcissism, extreme self-interest
- Machiavellian Behavior, scheming, lying, status and money above all
- Psychopathy, lack of empathy or conscience, irresponsibility
- Sadism is expected to be added to the definition, creating the Dark Tetrad
The start of my education about the Dark Triad occurred at 200 Bay Street, upon my hiring of Grant Thornton to be Receiver/Manager for a major Toronto hotel during the 1992 real estate recession.
Sandra Ann Mason, daughter of the Royal Banker and an employee of Grant Thornton, after a two hour meeting with me and her boss, told her mother she met the man she was going to marry then she arranged same using the well understood Narcissistic strategy known as Lovebombing, which amount to lies after lie, in this case for financial security, status (me?) but ultimately for her career purposes. A simple definition of fraud is “intentional deception”, in this case to obtain marriage. Marriage Fraud is charged in Canada, but usually in relation to immigration scams. If what happened to me wasn’t marriage fraud, then there is none. Without doubt, I provided her with a safe foundation for her to concentrate fully on her career, with me doing everything else, a supportive butler.
After the Lovebombing stage, the Literature is true to my experience when it describes the second stage of the Narcissist Relationship Abuse (NRA) as one of partner devaluation, hyper and angry criticism, passive-aggression, intimacy avoidance, disagreeableness, lashing out with regularity, entitled, a total change in behaviour within moments of returning from our rather expensive and sexless honeymoon. The Literature describes this second stage of NRA as Emotional Rape. Spot on.
I won’t repeat detail contained “She Came from Dartmouth”, but I will add that after Grant Thornton, Sandra Ann Mason was by hired the Globe and Mail, working closely with its publisher Philip Crawley during the Toronto newspaper wars of the early 90’s, which saw Conrad Black’s National Post relegated to commercial irrelevance.
After much too long, I decided I had to escape—my 6th sense running things to save what was left of my life and mojo. She got the message that things had changed, so she went about doing what she did to me and no doubt Lovebombed a guy named Tony Benattar, who is a musician and is associated with a business called Liberty Boots, who she met just before she left our perfect city house, which I would have to sell. I would ask him if there was a pregnancy, as there was with me? The Narcissistic are known to use pregnancy as power and to manipulate.
She went directly to Mr. B from me, as she can’t live alone–the psychopathic need the lives of others to actuate their own.
Trump’s behaviour writ large matches my direct experience of the behaviour of Sandra Ann Mason in every way, their black stare of death, explosive anger, unthinking, not able to see reality, love to say things designed to shock, comfortable with fraud and theft, self-aggrandizement etc. So, I decided to write articles and longer forms to warn about psychopathy, about marriage fraud and to describe the damage done to the children of mariticide.
When The Globe and Mail administered a psych test, it concluded she was “competent, but I wouldn’t want to be her friend.” Or her first husband, now dealing with the brain changing bodily harm of C-PTSD, as well as other non-physical negative effects of the marriage I call a fraud, because of the intentional deception that is Lovebombing.
Sandra Ann Mason’s older sister, Karen, was a senior exec in the Insurance industry. Canada Life’s psych tests revealed she lacked Empathy, she told me herself, then I experienced it a bit later.
Two sisters, two tests, same result.
The aforementioned Philip Crawley, no doubt had some influence in Sandra Ann Mason’s appointment to a 5-year term on the Board of the CBC, an institution I love and respect. She would betray him, another man whose trust in her was misplaced.
Movie buffs may know the 1980 film “Ordinary People” starring Mary Tyler Moore, acting against her comedic type, as a woman suppressing all human emotions in dealing with her son’s death. Hard to watch.
The second movie that informs is the 1993 film called “Malice” with Nicole Kidman, who marries an innocent for fraudulent and financial purposes, that eerily matches my experience described in “She Came from Dartmouth”.
When I would build a new dock, or any other of my projects, she would assiduously avoid any comment or congratulations, just like Trump does, it is said.
When I turned 50 years of age, the Lovebomber totally ignored this usual milestone and still hasn’t said happy birthday to me. A stick in the eye opportunity is never missed.
Alex Mason, my brother-in-law for around 7 years, still hasn’t given me a call.
The Dark Triad should be taught in school, psychopaths are easy to spot if you have the knowledge. Around 2-4% of the population is thought to be psychopathic. In comparison, autism is thought to be around the same percentage—how many families do you know dealing with that condition?
Quite a few I would guess.
