The Sikh Religion posits that EGO is the root cause of evil among humans, which along with ANGER, GREED and two other behaviours make up what they call the FIVE THEIVES.
Modern western psychological thought would agree with the Five Theives as described above but would use words like Psychopathy, Narcissism, and Lack of Empathy, which when combined, are referred to as the Dark Triad, you could look it up, Machiavellianism is in there too.
That Donald Trump is Psychopathic, and a Malignant Narcissist, is obvious to all current humans with a screen. The damage he wreaks to people close, to people he has never met, to institutions, to innocents, to races of people, to countries and norms is remarkably well understood by Science, if not by a lot of deluded Americans.
This true story is about how an always well-meaning man bumped into a desperate woman/child, was successfully targeted for marriage and subsequent abuse, in the way of the Narcissistic Relationship Trajectory, which you can also look up. It is also about lies big and small, but ever present, and Gross Irresponsibility towards other people, even towards secret business information* treated with Trumpian levels of care and judgement.
The Science also says that female psychopathics are worse than the males, though much more rare.
There is debate about adding a fourth leg to the Dark Triad, that being Sadism. Based on my direct experience described herein, I would support that amendment.
